Lacoste on Ebay

ebay logoIf you are looking for a convenient place to buy vintage Lacoste (or even new Lacoste) fashion, then Ebay is a good place to start.  Be warned, however, that there have been a lot of reports of fake Lacoste and Izod items being offered for sale there. While I’ve never personally experienced this, you should definitely communicate with the seller to make sure that you are getting genuine goods.  See my post on How to Identify a Fake Lacoste for some hints on ensuring that the item you are purchasing is real.

Anyway, with that warning, here’s where to find Lacoste fashion on Ebay, and here’s where to find Izod/Lacoste on Ebay.

Jonathan Adler on Designing for Lacoste

Jonathan Adler for Lacoste
A story in the Star entitled Jonathan Adler: Lacoste fan and designer, features an interview with Jonathan Adler about his new line for Lacoste.

JONATHAN Adler is all huge smiles and sparkling eyes as he strolls in for our interview. The American home furnishings and interior designer is undeniably preppy and boyishly handsome in a Lacoste polo shirt, upturned jeans and sneakers.

Despite a long flight from the United States and a whirlwind few days of events and interviews in Tokyo, Japan, Adler is warm and friendly, even asking enthusiastically about Malaysia. Really, he is a walking poster boy for his own design aesthetic, a vivacious, contemporary yet timeless style he dubs “happy chic”, that incorporates vibrant colours, funky motifs and a decidedly quirky sensibility.

The interview is full of details about Adler’s new collection, and his enthusiasm for Lacoste.

Lacoste Store at Changi Airport in Singapore

I was visiting Singapore last week, and while waiting for my flight at Changi Airport did some shopping. That’s when I discovered that there is a Lacoste Store in the Terminal 3 Shopping area. I took a couple of pictures there, which I’ve included in this post.

Display at Changi Lacoste Store Overall, it was pretty much like any other Lacoste store, except for a greater amount of embroidered crocodile items than I’ve seen at American stores.
